Emerging Institutes:

The RIPHI received start-up funding from the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), a national organization representing public health across the nation. The RI Department of Health provided matching funds to promote community-base prevention efforts in core cities, focusing on risk factors for chronic disease in traditionally underserved populations.
